Whitney A. Jones,

Owner and Principal Planner 

Whitney is the creative soul behind DFM Birmingham and an expert in event logistics who understands that a well-executed event can positively affect the perception of a personal or professional brand. Her passion for planning started with those closest to her as she assisted with family celebrations and spilled over into her professional life when she entered Birmingham’s hospitality industry in 2016 working in both sales & coordination-related roles for Hilton, Marriot, ClubCorp, & Mercedes Benz. Since then, Whitney has had the opportunity to design polished gatherings for the city’s corporate elite as well as create signature experiences for clients seeking to celebrate milestones and accomplishments in Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee. She believes that by establishing meaningful relationships with those in need of her services, she and her team can provide a truly signature experience for each client – fostering an atmosphere that will best highlight the reason for gathering and curating the fine details that will elevate their vision.

Allison H.

Planning Assistant & Bridal Party Specialist

Allison is the heart of our company – a shining example of what it means to joyfully serve others! She has been with DFM Birmingham since its inception and is a firm believer in the importance of customization – tailoring each design to fit the client and their personal reasons for celebration. Allison assists with the overall planning for most clients but specializes in ensuring the ‘day-of’ energy is positive and enjoyable for all attendees. She is particularly tasked with the care and handling of the bridal party when DFM takes on ceremony and reception clients. Outside of the company, Allison is a licensed caretaker of infants and young children who runs her own childcare service while raising her young daughter, Hailey Grace.  

 

Aleece G,

Event Assistant 

Believe it or not, Aleece is the house ‘muscle’ – joining the DFM Team in the Summer of 2020 originally to assist part-time with crowd management. If “stick to the plan” was a person – it’d be her. She specializes in day-of operations using her talents to ensure that each event is coordinated to the letter. Aleece is currently a senior at the University of Alabama at Birmingham pursuing a career in the medical field. She applies the same laser focus and commitment in both her studies and to her role within the DFM family. Aleece understands the value of teamwork and sees each event as an opportunity to meet and engage with new people in unique way.
